Women's Golf Wraps Up Season at Palm Beach Gardens Regional

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – The UCF women's golf team wrapped up play in the NCAA Palm Beach Gardens regional Wednesday afternoon at PGA National, turning in an 891(+27) score to finish in 7th place.

 The Knights shot 300(+12) in the final round to close out their last tournament of the 2022-23 season.

Michigan State won the regional at 872(+8), while Duke, Northwestern, Texas and LSU rounded out the top five to advance to the national championship in Scottsdale, Arizona from May 19-24. LSU's Latanna Stone and Michigan State's Brooke Biermann tied for individual medalist honors with a 213 (-3) score. Miami's Sarah Byrne will advance to the national championship as an individual, not on an advancing team. Byrne finished with a score of 214 (-2).

UCF was led by junior Jess Baker in all three rounds. The Newcastle, England native shot 217 (+1) tying her for 9th.

Freshman Pimpisa "Sandwich" Sisutham finished her first regional in the top 20 with a 54-hole score of 221 (+5) to tie for 19th place. The Bangkok, Thailand native finished up with two birdies on holes 17 and 18 for a total of four birdies on the day. 

Tunrada Piddon finished with a total score of 224 (+8) to tie for 29th place. 
 

Anna Nordfors wrapped up her college career with a final score of 229 (+13). Rounding things out for the Knights was Zoe Allaux who closed out the regionals with a 240 (+24). 
 

 UCF's appearance in the Palm Beach Gardens regional marked its 17th regional appearance and its ninth in the last 12 seasons. Since Emily Marron took over the program ahead of the 2012-13 season, the Knights have either made it as a team or sent an individual to every NCAA regional.
