Buckeyes Blank Knights in Pitchers’ Duel

Columbus, Ohio – Five Knights dueled it out on the mound, but UCF fell just short against Ohio State as the Knights were blanked, 2-0, Tuesday night at Bill Davis Stadium.

UCF fell to 27-21 on its season while Ohio State improved to 24-25.

After pair of runs scored on a pair of hits in the first inning, Chase Centala, Cameron Crain, Najer Victor, Julian Balzer and Kyle Kramer combined to allow one hit and no runs in the next seven frames.

In a game where the Knights' offense outhit the Buckeyes, leaving eight runners on base was the difference.

Continuing their road trip, UCF travels to Dayton, Ohio to take on Wright State 6 p.m. Wednesday before making their way to Cincinnati for a three-game AAC series this weekend.
