ORLANDO – The UCF track and field team hits the road this weekend as they make the short trip south for the Hurricane Alumni Invitational at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Fla. It will be the third consecutive season the Knights will compete at the two-day meet.

The Knights will send both Holly Cassels and Natalia Madison to compete in their first heptathlon of the season, which starts at 2:00 pm on Friday with the 100-meter hurdles and concludes on Saturday at 5:15 pm in the 800-meter run. The order of events for the duo is as follows: 100-meter hurdles, high jump (2:45 pm), shot put (5:30 pm), 200-meter dash (6:45 pm), long jump (Saturday: 1:30 pm), javelin (3:00 pm), and the 800-meter run.

At the AAC Indoor Championships, the tandem both set a new personal best in the pentathlon. Madison came in fifth with 3,755 points, the second most in program history, while Cassels's seventh-place finish and 3,627 points are currently fourth in program history.

Four more athletes will be joining the multis crew, as Ashlyn Green will represent the field squad, along with Paige Archer, Kaylor Harris and Kai'lyn Kirkland. Green will look to build on her new personal best at the Black and Gold Invitational as she'll compete in the hammer throw to start the meet at 1:00 pm. On Saturday, Harris will start the day off in the 100-meter hurdles, followed by Kirkland racing in the 400-meter dash. Both Harris and Archer will compete in the 100-meter dash at 4:45 pm, before Archer then wraps up the meet in the 200-meter dash.

There will be a live stream of Saturday's events that begins at 2:30 pm on ACC Network +. Live results can be found at the link provided.
