ORLANDO – Following their second-place finish in the AAC Championship last week, four Knights were named to the American Athletic All-Conference team on Wednesday.
The four Knights receiving honors include Jess Baker, Anna Nordfors, Tunrada Piddon and Pimpisa "Sandwich" Sisutham.
Earning her first career all-conference selection, Baker has posted a 73.46 scoring average after participating in nine events for UCF this season. Hailing from England, the junior has recorded three top-five finishes this season and was the Knights' top finisher at two events (Briar's Creek Invitational and AAC Championship).
After breaking the program record at the UCF Challenge, Nordfors is earned her fifth all-conference honor, claiming the award each full season since her freshman year in 2018-19 at Campbell. The Sweden native posted a 54-hole total of 195 shooting eight-under (64) to break the program record and then followed it up the next day with a nine-under (63).
Picking up her third straight all-conference selection, Piddon has led the charge for UCF all season, posting a team-best 71.38 scoring average. The Bangkok, Thailand native was named the AAC Player of the Month in September.
After placing seventh at the AAC Women's Golf Championship, Piddon now has six top-10 finishes under her belt, including a win at the Mercedes Benz Intercollegiate, where she shot 68-64-70=202(-11).
Dominating as a true freshman, Sisutham has been stellar for the Black and Gold all season to collect all-conference honors. A native of Bangkok, Thailand earned her first win at the Gators Invitational and has posted five top-10 finishes.
UCF, along with SMU, led all AAC programs with four all-conference selections. Tulsa, Tulane, South Florida and Houston had one each.
After finishing second at the conference championship, the Knights secured their seventh top-five finish of the season.
The Knights will now await the NCAA Selection Show to learn where they will compete in the NCAA Regional round, which is slated for May 8-10. The selection show will air on Wednesday, April 26 at 1 p.m. ET on the Golf Channel.
The team will be hosting a selection show watch party at Burger U. All are welcome to attend.
UCF is set to make its fourth straight NCAA Regional appearance (excluding the COVID-shortened 2019-20 season).
