Women's Golf Posts Strong Day Two at AAC Championship

BROOKSVILLE, Fla.— After a stellar day on the course, Anna Nordfors posted a four-under-par on Tuesday afternoon at Southern Hills Golf Club as the Knights climbed the leaderboard to finish day two of the American Athletic Conference tied for second place.
 
With a combined score of 571 (-5), UCF is currently six strokes behind SMU, who holds the first-place spot.
 
Nordfors leaped up seven spots to end round two in third place with a total score of 139 (-5). She was one of two players who shot a bogey-free 68 (-4) in the second round of the tournament with back-to-back birdies to start the day out on holes one and two.
 
Jess Baker came out just one stroke under par scoring a 71 with a combined score of 141 (-3). With a strong finish on the back nine tallying four birdies, she is tied for fourth place.
 
Tunrada Piddon closed out round two with a two-under-par performance with a score of 143 (-1). Pimpisa "Sandwich" Sisutham got off to a slow start on the front nine but picked it back up on the back nine to finish the day off with a 75 and a combined score of 148 (+4) to be tied for 26th place.
 
Zoe Allaux, rounded things out for the Knights as she sits tied for 44th place with a combined score of 156 (+12).
 
 
The Knights will tee off at 8:42 a.m. Wednesday morning for the final round of the American Athletic Conference Championship. The final three holes of the tournament will be on ESPN+.
