Women's Golf Set for AAC Championship

ORLANDO- The No. 20 UCF women's golf team is set for the American Athletic Conference Championship, taking place at Southern Hills Plantation Club in Brooksville, Florida. The tournament will kick off on Monday, April 17 and run through Wednesday, April 19 with teams playing three 18-hole rounds.

The field will consist of all 10 teams from the AAC which includes Cincinnati, East Carolina, Houston, Memphis, SMU, South Florida, Tulane, Tulsa and Wichita State. The course will play at a par-72 and measure 6289 yards for the week. Tee times will begin on April 17 at 8 a.m. off the first tee with No. 1 UCF and No. 2 SMU starting things off.

The Knights will feature a lineup of Anna Nordfors, Pimpisa "Sandwich" Sisutham, Jess Baker, Tunrada Piddon and Zoe Allaux.

The Knights have three players ranked in the top 100 individually with Piddon leading the pack at No. 67 along with Nordfors (88) and Sisutham (92). SMU is tied with the Black and Gold for the most players ranked in the top 100. UCF enters the championship slotted for 20th in the latest Golfstat team rankings from April 11 to pace the conference. SMU (28), Tulsa (36), Houston (37), South Florida (56) and Tulane (60) are ranked in the team top 100.
 
Designed by Pete Dye, Southern Hills first opened in 2006. This will be the first time the AAC has hosted its Golf Championship at Southern Hills.
 
Fans can also follow along with the action live on Golfstat.com. The final round of the 2023 edition of the AAC tournament on Wednesday will be live streamed on ESPN+.
