Sisutham Wins Individual Title at Gators Invitational

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The UCF women's golf team turned in a strong performance finishing in second place at the Gators Invitational with a 36-hole score of 567 (+7) and freshman Pimpisa "Sandwich" Sisutham won the individual title with a score of 133 (-7) Sunday afternoon at Mark Bostick Golf Course.

The Knights closed out their seventh tournament of the season with a strong round, as they were three-under-par.

Winning her first college tournament, Sisutham would not be denied the title in the Gators Invitational, as she fired a 62 (-8) in the final round to win the individual title in a three-hole playoff against Florida's Maisie Filler. 

Anna Nordfors finished among the top 15, as she tied for 13th with a 143 (+3) after 36 holes. 

Jess Baker and Zoe Allaux each recorded strong performances in the tournament to tie for 21st and 27th place, respectively. Baker put together her best round of the tournament with a 70 (E) and Allaux was two-over-par on Saturday. Tunrada Piddon closed out the invitational with a 153.

As a team, the Knights ended with 29 birdies, tied for first with Mississippi State who also finished in second place overall.

UCF returns to action on Monday, March. 13, at the Briar's Creek Invitational, hosted by Charleston at Briar's Creek Golf Club.
