All three Ospreys runs in the previous matchup were scored on home runs, two by catcher Jakob Runnels. Prior to this year, the two teams faced off five times during the 2022 season, with the Knights taking three of those.

The power hitting-offense is backed by a pitching staff that has a team 4.70 ERA and has held opponents to three or fewer runs 10 times through 20 contests, once combining for a shutout.
