Sundean Named AAC Player of the Week

ORLANDO - Andrew Sundean has been named the American Athletic Conference Player of the Week.

The sophomore catcher had an outstanding week against No. 21 Florida State and the Dartmouth Big Green, slashing .545/.545/.818 on the week.

He more than quadrupled his RBI on the season, adding 14 over the course of five games and bringing his total to 18. Adding 12 hits with two home runs, and scoring eight runs of his own, Sundean played a vital role in the Knights' explosive offense over the week.

Dom Stagliano was also named to the AAC Honor Roll for his 2-0 performance this week. He posted a 1.50 ERA through 12 innings pitched, notching 12 strikeouts and allowing only two earned runs and one walk. He held opposing hitters to a .167 average, allowing only seven hits through both of his outings. This is the second time this season that Stagliano has received recognition from the AAC.
