Rayniah Jones Honored With the AAC Most Outstanding Track Performance

ORLANDO – The American Athletic Conference has honored Rayniah Jones with the Women's Most Outstanding Performance in the 60-meter hurdles. Jones took home her second consecutive gold medal in the event this past weekend in Birmingham, Alabama at the AAC Indoor Track and Field Championships. After qualifying for the finals with her 8.23 leading time in prelims, the All-American took the top spot on Saturday with a time of 8.10, her second-best mark of the season.

For Jones, this is yet another amazing accomplishment in her career at UCF. She'll be heading to Albuquerque, New Mexico, for the NCAA D1 Indoor Track and Field Championships from March 10-11. Last season, along with the historic conference performance where she took home three events, she then went on to a third-place finish at the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Oregon. You'll be able to watch Jones next Friday when she'll line up in the 60-meter hurdles prelims at 9:55 pm ET on ESPN+.
