Women's Golf in First Place after 36 Holes at Briar's Creek

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – After a solid start in the Briar's Creek Invitational at Briar's Creek Golf Club on Monday, UCF is in first place following the first 36 holes of play. Jess Baker leads the Knights and is tied for second place with a score of 138.

The Knights shot a 560 (-16) in rounds one and two with four players in the top 20. 

A pair of UCF golfers are among the top 10 in the event following the opening rounds of play, as Baker posted a 6-under score with back-to-back 69s in both rounds to open the invitational, tying her for second place. Anna Nordfors is tied for fourth after opening with a 72 (E) and following it up with a 5-under-par performance of 67 in the second round.

Tunrada Piddon shot 72 (E) in round one and 3-under-par in round two, tying for 11th place, while Pimpisa "Sandwich" Sisutham turned in an even performance in both rounds with a 72 to tie for 19th.

Zoe Allaux finished day one with a 146 (+2) with scores of 70 and 76, respectively. 

Competing as an individual, Camille Banzet was six over on the day with a 77 and 73. 

The Knights will wrap up the invitational on Tuesday morning with an 8:45 a.m. shotgun start. Full results from day one at the Briar's Creek Invitational can be found below.
