Webb Brings Home First Career AAC Player of the Week Honors

ORLANDO, Fla. - After a perfect week of matches, UCF's Stefani Webb has been named the American Athletic Conference's Women's Tennis Player of the Week. The award is the first of her career and the third of the season for the Knights.

In the match against No. 41 Penn State on Wednesday, Mar. 8, the freshman played the No. 2 singles spot and fought hard after dropping the first set to come back and win the match 4-6, 6-3, 6-2.

Friday's match against No. 11 Virginia was a match of career firsts for Webb. In doubles, she earned her first doubles win on court three with partner Nandini Sharma, facing a tough battle. The duo came out on top to give the Knights the first doubles court win of the afternoon (6-2). In singles, she also faced a difficult opponent in the form of the 124th-ranked singles player from Virginia. Not letting this deter her, Webb emerged victorious, winning the match in straight sets (6-3, 6-3).
