Men’s Golf in Third Following Round Two at Sea Palms Invitational

ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. - For the second consecutive day, the UCF men's golf team fired a team score below par as the Knights shot a 282 (-2) Friday afternoon at the Sea Palms Invitational. Held at the Sea Palms Resort, UCF is 13-under following the first two rounds to sit in third place behind Davidson (-27) and Wright State (-20).

The Knights dropped in 15 birdies on Friday, headlined by fifth years Luis Carrera and Johnny Travale who each had four.

Carrera carded UCF's best score of the day with a 67 (-4), as he turned in a bogey-free round. He was one under on the front nine and three under on the back nine. Travale fired a two-under-par 69 with a two under on the first nine and even par on the second nine.

Both players are tied for 21st on the individual leaderboard.

Markus Braadlie, who led the field following the opening round, was three over on Friday and is tied for seventh. He shot a 72 on Friday with three birdies. Egor Eroshenko is even following two rounds, after recording a 77 on Friday.

Chase Haygood fired a 74, while Tom Stephens and Juan Camilo Vesga competed as individuals and logged scores of 72 and 77, respectively.

The Knights are back in action at 9:20 a.m. Saturday for the final round at the Sea Palms Invitational.
