Jones Earns Second Team All-America Honors at NCAAs

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Rayniah Jones wrapped up yet another phenomenal indoor season with a Second Team All-America honor at the NCAA D1 Track and Field Championships at the Convention Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Her 8.16 time earned her 12th place in the 60-meter hurdles prelims.

"Rayniah has had a very solid season. While the season didn't end the way that we had hoped there is so much to be grateful for," said head coach Dana Boone on Friday's performance in New Mexico. "We will regroup and prepare for the outdoor season."

Though the time didn't advance her to tomorrow's finals, the feat is nonetheless a testament to the dedication and work that Jones has committed in her time at UCF. She has now earned back-to-back All-America honors in the event to go along with her Second Team All-America performance in the 60-meter dash at last year's National Championships.

Jones garnered UCF's 91st All-America honor and the first of the 2023 season. The Knights will now move onto outdoor season where the squad will look to repeat as American Athletic Conference Champions and send athletes to Austin, Texas, for the NCAA D1 Outdoor Track and Field Championships in June.
