ORLANDO – Molly Lambillotte, former Wingate volleyball standout, has been named UCF volleyball's volunteer assistant coach, head coach Todd Dagenais announced on Tuesday.
"We are excited for Molly to join our staff," said head coach Todd Dagenais. "Molly just graduated and finished up her playing career at Wingate and is eager to get her career started in coaching"
A native of Geneva, Illinois, Lambillotte just finished up her five-year athletic career at Wingate. She tallied 891 career kills, 1,315 digs and 167.5 blocks.
Lambillotte is no stranger to conference championships, as a three-time South Atlantic Conference champion, along with four NCAA Championship Tournament appearances. She will fit right into the UCF volleyball program, who boasts five consecutive American Athletic Conference championships.
As a graduate student, Lambillotte earned SAC first team All-Conference honors and AVCA third team All-America. Wingate ended the season as runner-up in the NCAA Tournament.
"I am excited for Molly that she will have such an awesome opportunity to learn from what is an incredible coaching staff at UCF," said Wingate head coach Shelton Collier. "I am also confident that she will certainly add value to an already successful, high-level program. I have had several former players pursue collegiate coaching, and in my opinion, Molly is near the top of the list in terms of having amazing potential as a future coach. She has studied the game and been preparing to be a coach since arriving as a freshman in college, so this will be an exceptional experience for her as she gets started in the profession."
She graduated from Wingate University in May of 2021 with a bachelor's degree in sports management.
