No. 21 Knights Topple Tigers

ORLANDO - The No. 21 UCF women's tennis team (3-1) notched its third win of the season Sunday against the previously undefeated LSU Tigers (4-1). After dropping the doubles point and the first singles point, the Knights took four straight points to clinch the match on court six.

Court two finished shortly after, where the freshmen tandem of Jantje Tilbuerger and Stefani Webb fell short to LSU's Kylie Collins and Nina Geissler, 6-2. The doubles point came down to Marie Mattel and Noel Saidenova battling the ITA's seventh-ranked doubles team of Anastasiya Komar and Nikita Vishwase. It was a back-and-forth match that ended with the Tigers coming out on top 6-4 and claiming the doubles point.

After splitting the first two sets 6-3, 3-6, the final set deemed the Knights victorious as Sharma came out on top 6-3 which. The Knights had stormed back from down two in another match this season, which led to 47th-ranked Marie Mattel's match against ITA's seventh ranked singles player, Kylie Collins, to be left unfinished.
