ORLANDO – Anna Nordfors led the Knights in yet another historic day in the second round of the UCF Challenge on Monday, as the graduate student broke her record from yesterday for the lowest 18-hole score with a 63 (-9) at Eagle Creek Golf Club. Nordfors' score puts her in first place on the individual leaderboard following the second round.
Nordfors carded three birdies on the front nine and six birdies on the back nine to finish nine under. Her nine birdies were tied for most of any player in the first and second rounds.
As a team, the Knights recorded another strong showing in the second round of play in their home tournament, sitting in fourth place with a 553 (-23).
Senior Tunrada Piddion turned in another great round, recording a 68 (-4) with five birdies to end the day in a tie for eighth place. Junior Jess Baker shot a 73 (+1), while freshman Pimpisa Sisutham fired a 72 (E) and sophomore Zoe Allaux shot a 75 (+3).
Playing as an individual, junior Camille Banzet also turned in a score of 81 (+9).
