Baseball Heads to Bethune-Cookman for Midweek Matchup

ORLANDO – The UCF baseball team heads to Bethune-Cookman for its final game of the four-game road trip.

Coming on the heels of a massive three-game sweep at Clemson, the Knights (6-1) look to keep the momentum rolling.
 
BOOM HAPPY
UCF clubbed seven home runs on the weekend, pushing their total to 18 on the year which ranks tied for seventh in the nation. Three of those homers came from Tom Josten who now is tied for 13th most in the country with four bombs. Ben McCabe also hit two home runs during the week to move him into a tie for second most in the country.

The Knights have three players in the top five in the conference for home runs (McCabe, Josten, Drew Faurot).
 
SCOUTING THE WILDCATS
Bethune-Cookman comes into this match sitting at 6-2 and on a four game win streak after a four game sweep of Purdue Fort Wayne.

Luis Tuero has been the Wildcats leading hitter so far. Hitting .400 with seven RBI and an on-base percentage of .486.

Daniel Gaviria threw a complete game, three-hit shutout against Purdue Fort Wayne.
 
STARTERS
UCF will throw Najer Victor who was FGCU's Sunday starter last season where he pitched to the tune of a 2.89 ERA with 44 strikeouts. He's made two appearances so far this season out of the bullpen.

The Wildcats will start Pablo Torres. In one appearance this season he's allowed one earned run on two hits.
