Ward Participating at NFL Scouting Combine This Week

Former UCF long snapper Alex Ward is participating in the NFL Scouting Combine this week at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.
 
Ward and other specialists will take part in an orientation Tuesday, medical exams Wednesday, media interviews Thursday, measurements and on-field workouts Friday and bench press and broadcast interviews Saturday. Team interviews will take place Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.    
 
Ward (Choctawhatchee High School in Fort Walton Beach, Florida) is a two-time finalist for the Patrick Mannelly Award as the top long snapper in college football. He was a second-team All-American (Phil Steele) in that role in 2022 and a third-team selection in 2021. Ward began as a freshman long snapper at UCF in the 2017 season. He also participated in the 2023 Senior Bowl.
 
Ward was a 2022 semifinalist for the Campbell Trophy from the National Football Foundation. He was a five-time selection to the American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team and was named to the 2022 UCF Order of Pegasus as one of the University's 26 most exemplary students.
 
Ward graduated in 2021 with a degree in mechanical engineering and has pursued a second degree in integrated business.

NFL Network will have more than 50 hours of live coverage of the this year's event, beginning March 2. Here's the day-by-day schedule:

  • March 2 (3 p.m. to 8 p.m. ET): DL, LB
  • March 3 (3 p.m. to 8 p.m. ET): DB, PK/ST
  • March 4 (1 p.m. to 8 p.m. ET): QB, WR, TE
  • March 5 (1 p.m. to 7 p.m. ET): OL, RB
