Men’s Golf Wraps Up Day One at Southern Highlands Collegiate

LAS VEGAS – The UCF men's golf team concluded the first round at the Southern Highlands Collegiate on Sunday afternoon with a 296 (+8) team score. The Knights logged 12 birdies on the day and 59 pars to end the first round at the Southern Highlands Golf Club.

Markus Braadlie and Luis Carrera paced UCF on the opening day of tournament, each with a 73 score to finish the day one over par. After starting on the back nine, Braadlie was three under at the turn before carded a four over on the front nine. Carrera was one over on the back nine and even on the front nine.

Braadlie and Carrera each charted three birdies to tie for 45th on the player leaderboard following the first round.

Freshmen Chase Haygood and Tom Stephens both shot a three-over-par 75 with Haygood notching a pair of birdies and Stephens contributing one. Haygood was even on the back nine and three over on the front nine, while Stephens fired the same scores before and after the turn.

Egor Eroshenko fired a 77 (+5) based in large part to one tough hole, as he was five over on the back nine and even on the front nine.

UCF will return to action for round two of the Southern Highlands Collegiate Monday afternoon with a 1:30 p.m. ET/10:30 a.m PT tee time.
