Andrew Brait Wins AAC Player of the Week

ORLANDO, Fla. – After notching the first four-hit game of his career and hitting .467 over four games, Andrew Brait has been named the American Athletic Conference Player of the Week the conference announced Monday afternoon.

Brait was a constant offensive force in UCF's sweep of Clemson over the weekend, going 4-5 with two doubles and scoring two runs on Saturday's victory to secure the series for the Knights.

The veteran infielder has made a noisy return to the diamond after missing the majority of the 2022 season due to injury, with only four appearances.

He also notched two RBI in the Knight's midweek loss to FAU.

Last week, UCF took two weekly honors as Dom Stagliano was named AAC Pitcher of the Week and Ben McCabe earned AAC Honor Roll.

The Knights improved to 6-1 on the season, sweeping back-to-back three-game weekend series. They will be back in action on the road Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Bethune-Cookman, before beginning a 12-game homestand.
