ORLANDO- After a stellar first appearance with the Knights, Dom Stagliano has been named American Athletic Pitcher of the Week.
The Stetson transfer went 5.0 innings with seven strikeouts, one walk, three hits, all without giving up a run.
Stagliano arrives to UCF after being named a Collegiate Baseball Freshman All-American for his performance at Stetson where he pitched to the tune of a 3.21 ERA, 5-0 record, with 55 strikeouts in 53.1 innings.
He was the anchor in UCF's 11-1 win over Siena on Sunday afternoon.
Ben McCabe was also named to the AAC Weekly Honor Roll for his three home run performance on Friday night.
The Knights swept Siena to move to 3-0 on the season. They will be back in action Tuesday night against FAU at 6 p.m. at John Euliano Park. Live stats will be available for the game.
