Women's Golf Heads to Suntree Golf Club for Moon Invitational

ORLANDO – The No. 21 UCF women's golf team is gearing up for its second event of the spring, as the Knights travel to Melbourne, Florida, for the Moon Golf Invitational hosted by Louisville at the par-72 Suntree Golf Club. The field features six teams ranked among the top 25 of the latest Golfstat rankings.

The invitational kicks off on Sunday, Feb. 19, and runs through Tuesday, Feb. 21, with round one beginning at 8 a.m. Sunday.

The 16-team field UCF prepares to take on over the weekend is one of the strongest consisting of No. 7 Florida State, No. 9 LSU, No. 17 Auburn, No. 19 Vanderbilt, No. 25 Arkansas, Northwestern, Michigan, Florida, Clemson, Michigan State, Alabama, North Carolina, Miami, Louisville, Virginia Tech and Augusta.

The Knights are coming off a stellar week at their home tournament, UCF Challenge, where they placed fourth. UCF broke multiple records with Anna Nordfors recording an eight under in round one to set the program record for lowest 18-hole score followed by a nine under in round two to break the record again. As a team, the Black and Gold recorded a score of 837 (-27) to set a 54-hole record. Nordfors was crowned the individual UCF Challenge champion.

UCF has its attention set on the Moon Golf Invitational, the Knights will tee off at 9:20 a.m. on hole 10 Sunday morning, along with Virginia Tech, Arkansas and Clemson.

The UCF lineup will consist of Nordfors, Pimpisa Sisutham, Tunrada Piddon, Jess Baker and Zoe Allaux.
