ORLANDO – Following a historic performance headlined by breaking program records on consecutive days at the UCF Challenge, Anna Nordfors has been tabbed the American Athletic Conference Women's Golfer of the Week, the conference office released on Wednesday afternoon.
In the first tournament of the spring season, the Sweden native won the individual title at the UCF Challenge with a score of 195 (-21), setting the Knights' program record for the lowest 54-hole score.
Nordfors was eight under in round one to break the UCF record for lowest 18-hole score with a 64. The graduate student topped her score from day one at nine under in the second round, setting the program record for a second consecutive day.
The Knights will head to Suntree Golf Club in Melbourne, Florida, this weekend for the Moon Golf Invitational hosted by Louisville with first round set to start on Sunday, Feb. 19.
