ORLANDO - The UCF women's tennis team will begin the 2023 dual matches season ranked No. 23 in the ITA Preseason Top-25 Team Poll, announced on Wednesday morning.
UCF is set to face nine teams ranked in the Preseason Top-25, including three Top-10 teams. The full list of teams can be found here.
The Knights finished the 2022 dual matches season 16-8 overall, with a 3-0 conference record, earning them a berth to the NCAA Tournament, where they reached the second round after a win over Alabama.
The Black and Gold wrapped up its fall season with numerous Knights seen in the polls. The doubles tandem of Marie Mattel and Sophia Biolay made their first poll appearance of the 2022-23 season at No. 29, Nandini Sharma checked in at No. 110 and Mattel moved up the singles rankings to No. 47.
The Knights will kick off their spring dual matches season on January 21, when they face Stetson at home. The match will begin at 11:00 AM at the USTA National Campus.
