ORLANDO – The preseason top 20 polls that feature UCF softball among the nationally-ranked programs continue to roll in, as the Knights have been slotted as the No. 16 team in the country according to ExtraInningSoftball.com's Preseason Top 25 Power Rankings.
Extra Inning's preseason poll is the latest in a host of other publications to heighten their national respect for the Knights entering the 2023 campaign, as UCF has also been ranked within the top 20 in the country by D1Softball.com, Softball America and the ESPN/USA Softball poll. The Knights have also been picked to finish first in the conference in the American Athletic Conference's preseason coaches' poll.
Six of UCF's 2023 opponents were included in Extra Inning's rankings, including UCLA (2), Oklahoma State (3), Florida (5), Alabama (11), Georgia (15) and Louisiana (18). The Knights also represent the lone program from The American to be represented in the poll.
