ORLANDO - The UCF Knights cheerleading and dance teams will compete at the 2023 College Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championship this weekend. The competition will be held at ESPN Wide World of Sports from Friday, Jan. 13 through Sunday, Jan. 15.
The Knights cheer team will be competing in the Division 1A Coed Division. Last year, the UCF cheer team recorded its 23rd finish in the top five at the UCA National Championships, taking fifth place. They last won this division in 2020, 2007 and 2003.
The Dance team will be competing in two divisions: Division 1A Hip Hop and Division 1A Jazz. The Knights have placed as high as fifth place in the jazz division. Last season, the dance team reached the finals in the hip hop division for the first time since 2014, placing seventh for its best all-time finish in the category.
Division IA Semifinals will take place on Saturday 1/14/23
*DIA Cheer Semifinals 3 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Arena South Red (UCF Competes at 5 p.m.) Finalists announced at 8:15 p.m.
*DIA Jazz Semifinals 8 a.m. - 12:40 p.m. HP Fieldhouse (UCF Competes at 11:15 a.m.)
*DIA Hip Hop Semifinals 1:15 p.m. - 3:20 p.m. (UCF Competes at 1:20 p.m.)
If UCF qualifies for finals, the squad will draw for the order of competition on Saturday.

Single day tickets can be purchased at the Disney Wide World of Sports Box office on the day of the event.
