Seven Knights Slated for 2023 Hula Bowl in Orlando

Seven former UCF football players - running back Isaiah Bowser, offensive lineman Sam Jackson, long snapper Alex Ward, tight end Kemore Gamble, safety Divaad Wilson and defensive tackles Anthony Montalvo and Austin Camden - will participate in the 77th Hula Bowl College Football All-Star Game set for noon Saturday (Jan. 14) at FBC Mortgage Stadium on the UCF campus in Orlando.
 
Bowser (Sidney, Ohio) had a team-high 205 rushing carries in 2022 for 799 yards and 16 touchdowns (10th nationally). He was a second-team selection on the All-American Athletic Conference squads selected by AAC coaches and by Pro Football Network. A transfer from Northwestern, he started 26 career games - 16 at UCF.
 
Jackson (Bradenton, Florida) was a four-year starter on the UCF offensive line (45 career starts). He helped the Knights rank ninth nationally in 2022 in rushing (228.3 yards per game). He was a first-team selection on the All-AAC squad selected by Pro Football Focus.
 
Wilson (Miami, Florida) made 41 tackles and a team-high three interceptions for the Knights in 2022. He was a second-team selection on the All-AAC squad selected by PFN. He started 24 games at UCF (and two others at Georgia).
 
Gamble (Miami, Florida) caught seven passes for 118 yards for the Knights in 2022.
 
Ward (Fort Walton Beach, Florida) will participate in practices during the week but is not expected to play in the game. A two-time finalist for the Patrick Mannelly Award as the top long snapper in college football, Ward was a second-team All-American (Phil Steele) in that role in 2022 and a third-team selection in 2021.

Montalvo (Tampa, Florida) appeared in all 14 games for the Knights and made 43 tackles, including 6.5 tackles for loss with two sacks.

Camden (Altamonte Springs, Florida) played in 13 games and recorded a pair of tackles.
 
UCF offensive tackle Ryan Swoboda (Clermont, Florida) was selected for the game but has chosen not to participate.

The FBC Mortgage Stadium box office opens at 10:30 a.m. Saturday.
