ORLANDO – The No. 23 UCF women's soccer team hosts the Florida Golf Coast Eagles on Sunday at the UCF Soccer Complex with the first kick at 1 p.m.
After a 3-0 clinic against Florida, UCF managed to record four shots on target against Utah Valley but couldn't find the back of the net.
The Black and Gold welcome the Eagles following FGCU's 4-1 win at home against Southern on Thursday. That snapped a 2-game skid to begin the season following losses versus both South Florida and Detroit Mercy by a combined score of 5-2.
The Knights are 4-0-1 against FGCU, last playing the Eagles in 2016, defeating them 4-3 in Fort Meyers.
At home, UCF has won two and drawn one, scoring six and keeping a clean sheet in all three matches.
Reigning American Athletic Goalkeeper of the Week Caroline Delisle will look to continue that record, following her 20th career shutout in the Knights 0-0 draw in Utah.
UCF still ranks No. 23 in the United States Coaches Poll following their addition in the first release of the season. With a win against FGCU, the Knights can look to surpass their season-high No. 14 ranking last year.
