Women's Soccer Releases 2022 Schedule

ORLANDO, Fla. – Highlighted by seven home matches, the UCF women's soccer team has announced its 2022 regular season schedule. The 16-match slate features eight non-conference fixtures, including opening the season with Florida at the UCF Soccer and Track Complex, as well as an eight-match conference schedule.
 
"As always we are looking to put ourselves up against the top teams in the country," Head coach Tiffany Roberts Sahaydak said. "We can't be the best without playing the best. Our team is ready for the challenge, and we all know that this will prepare us well for conference and post season play. We look forward to an exciting season on the field!"
 
UCF will begin the road portion of the schedule in Baton Rouge on August 21st, traveling to LSU, before making the cross-country flight to Utah Valley on August 25th. The Knights will return home to host in-state foe Florida Gulf Coast on August 28th, before traveling to Jacksonville, Florida to face off against the Osprey of North Florida.
 
The Knights will return home to the UCF Soccer and Track Complex on September 4th, to host SEC foe Ole Miss. The Rebels finished the 2021 season ranked 18th in the country, falling to St. Louis in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. On September 11th, UCF will travel to Chapel Hill to take on UNC. The Tar Heels finished the 2021 campaign ranked 14th in the country, falling to South Carolina in the NCAA Tournament. 
 
UCF will open conference play on the road in Memphis, Tennessee, on September 15th against the 2021 American Athletic Conference Champions Memphis. The Knights will step back into non-conference play for the final time, traveling to Austin, Texas to compete against Texas. The Longhorns finished the year receiving votes, falling to SMU in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
 
On September 29th, UCF continues the 2022 AAC schedule, hosting Cincinnati, before traveling to Temple to open October. UCF hosts SMU, ECU, and Houston down the stretch, while traveling to Tulsa and USF to conclude the 2022 season.
 
Seven opponents from the 2022 schedule made the NCAA Tournament in 2021, UNC (14), Ole Miss (18), Memphis (20), SMU (21), Texas (RV), and USF (RV) all finished the season ranked or receiving votes.
