ORLANDO — The UCF women's basketball team will take on Texas Southern on Thursday, Dec. 29 in Addition Financial Arena. The game will start at 6 p.m. and will stream on ESPN+.
The Black and Gold are 8-3 on the season, after gaining traction back with two wins in the UCF Christmas Classic following a three-game losing streak against Auburn, Seton Hall, and Tennessee.
Rachel Ranke scored a season-high 21 points in the Knights win over Elon on Dec. 21. Along with a season-high of five three-point field goals. Freshman guard Sierra Godbolt contributed with a career-high eight assists and added four steals. Destiny Thomas leads the Knights with 124 points this season adding in 121 rebounds.
Texas Southern
The Tigers are 0-10 during the 2022-2023 campaign dropping a nail biter to Tulsa (83-80) in their last game. Andriana Avent leads Texas Southern with 152 points and 20 three-point field goals this season. This will be the first meeting between the Knights and the Tigers.
