ORLANDO - UCF men's golf head coach Bryce Wallor announced Thursday that Cy Norman has signed a National Letter of Intent (NLI) to compete for the Knights starting with the 2023-24 athletics season.
"The 2023 recruiting class will be an extremely important factor in the future success of our conference shift into the Big 12 and it will set the foundation on which we will continue to build in future seasons," said Wallor. "We're very excited to announce the addition of Cy Norman to our list of current 2023 signees of Marc Keller, Garret Ebbert and Hans Risvaer to the Knights family."

"Cy is our most recent signee for the 2023 class," Wallor added. "Although we have been in communication with Cy throughout this lengthy recruiting process, it wasn't until a few weeks ago that we had a chance to complete our evaluation of him with a campus visit, as well as watch him compete in tournament golf. After getting the opportunity to speak with Cy in person, our staff could easily see his passion for both his academic success and his commitment to the game of golf.
"We witnessed a player that shares the same values of hard work and team success over individual accolades that we're trying to build within our program. Cy has won on the AJGA level during two different years. In 2020, Cy capped off an undefeated high school regular season with a nine-hole school scoring record of 33.63, before going on to capture the Illinois 2A State High School Championship the following year. Cy has also defied golfing odds with two hole-in-ones during the same round of golf. Having said this, Cy is a winner in the classroom and on the golf course and we're excited for his future as a Knight."
UCF men's golf turned in a strong fall season, highlighted by winning the Hartford Hawks Invitational and finishing among the top five at the Carolina Collegiate Invitational. The Knights will return to action in the spring at the John Hayt Collegiate in February 2023.
