Scott, Rajaee Named Academic All-Americans

ORLANDO - Midfielder Darya Rajaee and forward Kristen Scott were both named NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Academic All-Americans by United Soccer Coaches for the duo's performance in the classroom this year.
 
Scott, a finance major, was named Second-Team Academic All-American after compiling a 3.58 GPA. On the field, the Orlando native was named AAC Offensive Player of the Year and American Athletic First-Team All-Conference after netting a team-leading nine goals, including six in conference play. Scott led the conference with a phenomenal 23 points.
 
Rajaee, who is finishing her Master of Science in Kinesiology this semester, achieved a 3.96 GPA and was named to the Third-Team Academic All-American. Along with Scott, Rajaee was also named AAC First-Team All-Conference. Rajaee's game-tying penalty kick in regulation, followed by her game-winning penalty kick pushed the Knights past NC State in the first round of the 2022 NCAA Women's Soccer Championship.
 
The United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I Women's Scholar All-American teams recognize student-athletes who are at least a junior in athletic standing who have a minimum 3.40 GPA.
