ORLANDO – After defeating No. 17 Tulane on the road Saturday, UCF has improved to No. 17 in the latest Associated Press Top 25 Poll and No. 18 in the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Rankings released on Sunday.
Headlined by a season-high 336 rushing yards, the Knights earned a 38-31 road win against the Green Wave to log its first ranked road win since 2013 when the program defeated No. 8 Louisville, 38-35. UCF handed Tulane its first conference loss of the season and now the Knights are in first place in the AAC standings and control their own destiny to win the regular season and reach the conference championship game.
UCF will return to action at home on Saturday, Nov. 19, when the Knights welcome Navy to FBC Mortgage Stadium on Senior Day. Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. on ESPN2.
