ORLANDO– The No. 24 ranked UCF volleyball team will be in action this weekend against SMU and Memphis. Friday's matchup against SMU will start at 7 p.m. and Sunday's matchup against Memphis will start at 1 p.m. Both games will broadcast on ESPN+.
The Knights
UCF enters the weekend with a 19-1 overall record, and 11-1 in conference play. The Knights took care of business on the road last week, beating both Tulsa and Wichita State with a score of 3-1.
McKenna Melville won another AAC Offensive Player of the Week award after recording 47 kills in two matches. Melville leads the AAC in kills per set, with 5.33. She also leads the conference with 415.5 points, and 5.92 per set.
Abby Hansen, who won last week's AAC Defensive Player of the Week award, leads the AAC with a .439 hitting percentage. Hansen also leads the conference with 1.31 blocks per set.
Claudia Dillion is second in the conference with a .401 hitting percentage.
Amber Olson now has 819 assists on the year, and leads the AAC with 11.70 assists per set.
SMU
The Mustangs are 17-7 overall and a 10-2 in conference play. They are on a five-game win streak, and have only given up one set in this time span. One of its losses came against the Knights, as the Black and Gold won the Sept. 25 matchup 3-0. UCF is on a seven-game win streak versus SMU, but the Mustangs lead the all-time series, 15-12. The Knights have only lost two sets against the Mustangs since 2018.
Memphis
The Tigers come to Orlando with a 17-8 record and are 7-5 in conference play. Memphis won their last matchup versus Cincinnati at home. In their Sept. 23 matchup, UCF beat Memphis 3-0. The Knights are on nine-game win streak against the Tigers, and haven't dropped a set since 2017. UCF leads the all-time series 23-11.
