ORLANDO – Head Coach Becky Cramer and the UCF rowing team has officially announced the schedule for the 2022-2023 season, which will begin this weekend on Oct. 7 with a scrimmage at Jacksonville University.
UCF will travel to Charlottesville, Va. on Nov. 13 for the first official meet of the season for the Rivanna Romp. The Knights have only competed in this regatta twice in their history, first during the 2006 season, then again in 2019.
The Black and Gold will open the spring semester at home on Lake Pickett for a two-day scrimmage with Iowa on Feb. 9 and 10.
The team will remain in Orlando for Senior Day on Mar. 17 where they will compete against Miami, UConn and Jacksonville.
At the end of the month, the Knights will head to Sarasota for the Sunshine State Invite from Mar. 31-Apr. 1. UCF has participated in this invite for the past six years and won three grand finals in last year's meet.
UCF will be back in Sarasota again on Apr. 7-8 for the Big 10 Invite. The Black and Gold are looking forward to this regatta as it is the Knights' first year participating in this race.
The Knights will then travel to Raleigh, N.C. April 21-22 for the Lake Wheeler Invite. They participated in the event last year, which is hosted by Duke and North Carolina.
The Knights make their last outing of the regular season on April 29 in Eugene, Ore. for the Oregon State Invite.
The American Athletic Conference Championship will take place May 14 in Oakridge, Tennessee. UCF finished second overall in the team standings, earning 144 points in last year's meet and had five Knights recognized by the league.
The final event of the 2023 calendar will be the NCAA Championships, which are set to be hosted in Cherry Hill New Jersey on May 26-28.
