FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.— Fifth year Johnny Travale closed out a strong week with a fifth-place finish in the individual standings, as the UCF men's golf team finished 11th at the Blessings Collegiate Invitational hosted by Arkansas Wednesday evening at the Blessings Golf Club.
Travale finished with a three-round score of 214 to end play in the tournament two strokes under par, tying for fifth place. He carded a 68 (-4) to lead the team on Wednesday with a score of 33 on the front nine and 35 on the back nine.
As a team, the Knights recorded a score of 904 (+40).
Egar Eroshenko and Markus Braadlie each finished the invitational with a score of 231 (+15) over three rounds. Braadlie was four over on Wednesday with a score of 76, while Eroshenko scored a 77 at five over.
Luis Carrera finished 16 over for the tournament after firing a 74 on Wednesday to conclude play in the invitational strong. Juan Camilo Vesga ended with a three-round score of 236 (+20), tallying an 82 in the third round.
UCF returns to action when it heads to Spartanburg, South Carolina, on Sunday, Oct. 9, to compete in the Carolina Collegiate Invitational hosted by University of South Carolina- Upstate.
