Piddon Headlines Day One for UCF Women’s Golf at Blessings Collegiate Invitational

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – UCF's Tunrada Piddon turned in a strong first round at the Blessings Collegiate Invitational on Monday, as the senior is tied for sixth in the individual standings with a score of 73 (+1) following the first day of action at the Blessings Golf Club.

As a team, UCF women's golf had a tough first day as the Knights fired a team score of 319 (+31) in the first round to sit ninth in the stacked field of teams, which includes seven ranked teams.

Piddon recorded four birdies on the day, finishing the front nine even par before ending the back nine one over. Anna Nordfors logged the next-best score for the Knights with a 78 (+6) to tie for 33rd. She finished the day with a birdie on hole No. 3 and No. 15.

Zoe Allaux was 11-over-par with an 83, while Jess Baker and Pimpisa Sisutham tallied scores of 85 (+13) and 86 (+14), respectively.

UCF will tee off at 11:15 a.m. ET on Tuesday in the second round of the Blessings Collegiate Invitational. Live coverage will be available starting at 4:30 p.m. on Golf Channel.
