WILMINGTON, N.C.— The UCF women's golf team closed out round three of the Landfall Tradition with a fifth place finish. The Knights finished with a team score of 867 (+3).
At fifth place and with scores of 284, 296, 287, the Knights placed higher than No. 11 Duke. UCF finished just behind ranked opponents No. 9 San Jose State (1st), No. 2 Wake Forest (2nd), No. 18 Florida State (3rd) and No. 4 South Carolina (4th) in their final event of the fall season.
Leading the charge for the Knights was senior Tunrada Piddon posted a strong finish of 71 (-1) to tie for 20th place. Pimpisa Sisutham wrapped up the third round with a score of 71 (-1) to tie for 25th place. Sisutham rounded out the day with four birdies.
Jess Baker brought a strong performance to day three with a score of 71 (-1), placing her at 34th. Baker outscored her previous two days by three strokes. She rounded out her play with three birdies.
Zoe Allaux rounded out day three with a 76 (+4) to finish in 44th place. The sophomore recorded a birdie on hole No. 5. Anna Nordfors recorded a score of 74 (+2) adding in two birdies.
With the fall season all said and done, UCF will go on a break before they host the UCF Challenge at Eagle Creek Golf Course on Feb. 5-7.
