Melville Tapped AAC Offensive Player of the Week

ORLANDO— For the third consecutive week, McKenna Melville earned American Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week, released by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

"McKenna has led our team and our program in so many ways," said UCF Head Coach Todd Dagenais. "She continues to keep the group organized and did a great job at getting them on the road in less then 18 hours. A herculean job for us and for the team captains. Her value not only comes in what she provides on the floor but in what she did to prepare her teammates for a normal business trip last weekend when plans went awry due to Hurricane Ian."

The Eagan, Minnesota, native recorded 38 kills with a hitting percentage of .543 and four block assists. On the defensive side, she added in 18 digs.

The fifth-year graduate student native recorded 23 kills in the conference matchup against Tulsa. She closed out the weekend with 15 kills against Wichita State.

According to NCAA active career leaders, Melville is ranked No.1 in kills (2,189) and total attacks (5,761).
