ORLANDO – The UCF men's golf team wrapped up the 2022 edition of the Isleworth Collegiate with a team score of 294 Tuesday afternoon at the Isleworth Golf and Country club. The Knights capped off their prestigious home event of the year with a quality final round, the 294 mark was their second best of the tournament.
Luis Carrera had a phenomenal outing, shooting under par (-2) for the second time this competition, finishing Tuesday with a score of 70. Carrera's final mark of 213 (-3) was good enough for an 11th overall finish, 34 places higher than his 45th overall finish at least year's tournament.
Chase Haygood saved his best golf for last, finishing with a score of 73 (+1), four shots better than his 77 tallies both Sunday and Monday. The freshman leaves Isleworth with a final score of 227 (+11), birdieing three times in his final nine holes.
Johnny Travale, the 2019 champion, shot a 76 (+4) and finished with an overall score of 223, giving him a 37th-place finish. Egor Eroshenko placed 34th on the final leaderboard, shooting a 77 (+5) today. Markus Braadlie scored a 75 (+3) today, his best mark of the tournament, propelling him to a final tally of 230 (+14).
Clement Charmasson, competing as an individual, continued his strong form from yesterday, capping off the tournament with a score of 76 (+4), pushing him to his final mark of 232 (+16).
The Knights, who shot 54 birdies over the three days at Isleworth, fifth best in the competition, land ninth overall with a final score of 880 (288+298+294).
With the fall season all said and done, UCF will go on a break before its next tournament at the John Hayt Invitational in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, Feb. 5-6.
