Track and Field Announces 2023 Slate

ORLANDO – UCF head coach Dana Boone announced the 2023 track and field schedule on Monday.

The Knights are coming off sweeping the American Athletic Conference, winning both the indoor and outdoor titles.

UCF will open the indoor season by heading to Gainesville, Florida, for the Jimmy Carnes Invitational on Jan. 13. The squad will then split up and head to the Vanderbilt Invitational, Jan. 20-21, in Nashville and the Red Raider Open in Lubbock, Texas, on Jan. 20.

The Knights have two straight meets in Gainesville, the Alachua County Collegiate Invite, Jan. 26-27, and the Celebration Point Indoor Classic, Feb. 2-3. The multis (multiple event athletes) then head to Harvard for the Crimson Elite Invitational on Feb 3.

The distance runners make the trip to Massachusetts next for the Valentine Invitational on Feb 10-11, while the remainder of the team will be at Clemson for the Tiger Paw Invitational.

The season will wrap up with the AAC Championships in Birmingham, Alabama, on Feb. 24-25 and the NCAA Indoor Championships on March 10-11 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Outdoor season kicks off with two straight home meets, as UCF hosts the Black and Gold Invitational on March 17-18 and the Knights Invite on March 24-25.

They then travel to Gainesville for the Florida Relays on March 31-April 1. After that, the multis will head to Coral Gables, Florida, for the Miami Alumni Invite on April 7-8.

The team makes a return trip to Gainesville for the Tom Jones Invitational, April 14-15, followed the distance squad traveling to Atlanta April 21-22 for the Georgia Tech Invitational.

The Knights then head to the LSU Alumni Gold in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on April 22.

UCF concludes the regular season in Jacksonville, Florida, for the UNF Invitational.

The American Outdoor Championship will take place in Tampa, Florida, May 12-14. The team will look to repeat as conference champions before heading to the NCAA East Preliminary in Jacksonville, May 25-27.

The NCAA Outdoor Championship will take place in Austin, Texas, June 7-10. The Knights sent eight athletes there last year and will look to build on that number this season.
