ORLANDO - UCF's men's golf team is set to host the 2022 Isleworth Collegiate Invitational in Windermere, Florida, this weekend. Action gets underway at the Isleworth Golf & Country Club on Sunday Oct. 23 and concludes on Tuesday, Oct. 25.
The course plays at a par 72 and is 7,544 yards. Beginning on Sunday, each day will consist of one 18-hole round and will wrap up on Tuesday.
The lineup will consist of Egor Eroshenko, Markus Braadlie, Luis Carrera, Johnny Travale, and Chase Haygood. Clement Charmasson will play as an individual.
The Knights will welcome some of the best teams in the nation. The attending teams are the following: No. 3 Auburn, No. 9 Illinois, No. 11 Florida, No. 24 Arizona, No. 28 LSU, No. 31 North Florida, No. 42 Purdue, Augusta, California, Minnesota, South Carolina, UNLV, Utah and West Virginia.
UCF finished eighth at Isleworth last year with a three-day total of 877(+13). Travale, who was the 2019 champion at the Isleworth Collegiate, nearly finished with his third straight victory of the season in the final round of the collegiate as he shot 3-under 69, bringing his total to 210(-6), but Illinois's Piercen Hunt came on late and birdied two of the final three holes to overtake Travale and secure the individual title. Travale finished in second place overall.
Qualifying Information for 2022 Isleworth Collegiate Invitational
- Egor Eroshenko has earned an exemption for the 2022 Isleworth Collegiate Invitational after finishing tied for 10th at the 2022 Carolina Collegiate.
- Markus Braadlie has earned an exemption for the 2022 Isleworth Colleigate Invitational after finishing tied for 10th at the 2022 Carolina Collegiate.
- Luis Carrera qualified for the 2022 Isleworth Invitational by finishing first in the five-round qualifier with a score of -7.
- Johnny Travale qualified for the 2022 Isleworth Collegiate Invitational after finishing second in the five-round qualifier with a score of -5.
- Chase Haygood qualified for the 2022 Isleworth Collegiate Invitational after finishing third in the five-round qualifier with a score of +7.
Clement Charmasson will play as an individual in the invitational after finishing fifth in the five-round qualifier with a score of +17.
