ORLANDO – After a strong showing in its last action of the season at the Mercedes-Benz Intercollegiate, the 14th-ranked UCF women's golf team returns to action at the Blessings Collegiate Invitational hosted by the University of Arkansas, Monday, Oct. 3 through Wednesday, Oct. 5 at the Blessings Golf Club.
Tournament play, which features 11 women's and men's teams in the mixed event, includes 54 holes of stroke play with 18 holes played each day. Fans can follow the action live on Golf Channel with coverage of each round available from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. ET each day.
Live scoring is also available on Golf Stat by clicking here.
The Knights will tee off on hole 10 starting at 10 a.m. Monday morning on the par-72, 6,422-yard course.
UCF will battle a strong field at the event, as seven of the 11 teams competing in the invitational are ranked in the latest Golfweek Rankings including No. 2 Texas A&M, No. 8 Mississippi State, No. 10 Ole Miss, No. 15 Arkansas, No. 20 Clemson and No. 39 UCLA.
In its third year of existence, the Blessings Collegiate Invitational has become one of the nation's best collegiate golf tournaments. As a mixed event, men's and women's golf programs from 11 of the country's top golf programs are featured in the field. At Blessings, the teams play in fivesomes, presenting a unique opportunity for the coaches and fans to watch every shot from every hole.
Blessings Golf Club was developed with the vision of being a club of comfort to its members and their guests by providing a superior golfing experience designed to test championship golfers on every shot. The Club is located in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and is the home to the University of Arkansas Men's and Women's Golf Teams.
The impeccably maintained course stretches more than 7,900 yards from the back tees and plays through two distinct landforms-the Clear Creek floodplain and a plateau that rises to 65 feet above the floodplain where it's bisected by a series of ravines. Both the outward and inward nines climb up and down between the two topographies, creating drama and variety on each hole.
The course was originally designed by architect Robert Trent Jones, Jr. with a redesign recently completed by noted architect Kyle Phillips.
The Blessings Golf Club has served as the host for the NCAA Championships previously, most recently in 2019.
UCF will compete in the tournament for the first time in the three-year existence of the invitational.
The trip will be a homecoming for UCF assistant coach Summar Roachell, who played collegiately at Arkansas and also served as an assistant golf professional at Blessings Golf Club prior to joining the Knights.
The Knights' lineup for the tournament will feature Tunrada Piddon, Pimpisa "Sandwich" Sisutham, Jess Baker, Anna Nordfors and Zoe Allaux.
In its last outing, UCF turned in a strong performance at the Mercedes-Benz Intercollegiate to break the program record with a three-round score of 834 (-18) and Piddon won the individual title with a score of 202 (-11) at Cherokee Country Club on Sept. 20.
UCF bested the previous program record of 841 for the lowest three-round score after firing a 275 in the first round, 280 in the second and 279 in the final round to compile a score of 834. Piddon's 11-under-par is the best in program history for an individual in a three-round tournament (54 holes).
For the second consecutive week, UCF will battle a strong field as 11 of the 13 other competing teams either advanced to an NCAA Regional or had an individual qualifier.
