Women's Soccer to Take on Cincinnati

ORLANDO - The UCF women's soccer team is gearing up to take on Cincinnati at home this Thursday, following a 1-0 win over SMU this past Sunday. The match will kick off at 3 p.m. at the UCF Soccer Complex and will be streamed on ESPN+.

After weeks of anticipation, the Knights will finally be taking on the Bearcats, which was originally scheduled for Sept. 27th, after being postponed by Hurricane Ian.

Cincinnati is currently 5-1-5, with a 1-0-2 mark in conference play. The Bearcats' first conference win of the season was this past Sunday against Temple with a 3-1 victory. With the win, Cincinnati extended its win streak to five matches.

UCF goalkeeper Caroline DeLisle continues to dominate in the net, as she picked up her 23rd career clean sheet, after her fifth shutout of the year against SMU. Her two-shutout week earned her American Athletic Conference Goalkeeper of the Week honors.

The UCF defense didn't allow a single shot on goal against the Mustangs and the performance earned Georgia Eaton-Collins AAC Defensive Player of the Week honors.

Kristen Scott netted the match-winning goal in the 36th minute, her first since her injury and her fourth of the season.

With the Knights' win against SMU this past Sunday, they move to 4-2-4 for the season and continue to stay unbeaten in conference play sitting at 2-0-1. The Black and Gold have played 270 minutes in conference play and have yet to concede a goal.
