SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The UCF men's golf team recorded a score of 293 in the second round of the Carolina Cup on Monday afternoon to sit in fourth place on the team leaderboard following the first two rounds of action at Carolina Country Club.
Egor Eroshenko led the Knights with a score of 68 (-4) in the second round to move into the top 10 on player leaderboard, after starting the day at No. 40. He dropped in five birdies with only one bogey to record one of the top scores in the round.
Markus Braadlie also moved into the top 10 with a strong performance on Monday, as he carded a two-under-par 70 score. He started the day on fire, recording five birdies on the front nine to card a 33 before ending the back nine with a 37 headlined by another birdie.
Clement Charmasson filled in for Johnny Travale in the lineup on Monday, earning a score of 76 (+4). He was two over on the front nine and two over on the back nine, headlined by a birdie on No. 13.
Juan Camilo Vesga continued his strong play in the Carolina Cup with a 77 in the second round to end the day five strokes over par. For the second consecutive day, a UCF golfer tallied an eagle on hole No. 13 as Vesga used just three strokes on the par-five hole. He sits 15th on the player leaderboard after the first two rounds.
Luis Carrera was +6 on the day with a score of 78 to compile a two-day total of 149 after carding a 71 on Sunday. He birdied No. 8, No. 12 and closed out the day with a birdie on No. 18.
UCF will tee off starting at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday morning to conclude play in the Carolina Cup.
