ORLANDO – The UCF cross country team is back in action as the team heads down to Boca Raton for the Florida Atlantic Invitational on Friday night at 6:30 p.m. at South County Regional Park.
The Knights checked in at 13th in the USTFCCCA South Regional Rankings after their trip up to Huntsville, Alabama for the North Alabama Showcase on Sep. 16.
UCF's showing in Hunstville was a historic one that saw personal bests from 13 of the 14 Knights, including AAC Athlete of the Week Isabella Richardson with a record time of 17:12.38, shattering the UCF freshman record (17:43.60). Richardson's time now ranks fourth all-time in the UCF record books.
UCF placed ninth out of a tough slate of 40 teams on its trip to North Alabama.
The Knights hope to keep the momentum heading to Boca Raton on Friday.
