UCF Men’s Hoops Looks to 2022-23 AAC Schedule

IRVING, Texas - 
Johnny Dawkins' 2022-23 UCF men's basketball squad opens conference play with a Dec. 28 home date versus Wichita State as part of the Knights' 18-game American Athletic Conference schedule.
 
UCF will play two games each (one home, one away) against Wichita State, Houston, East Carolina, Memphis, Temple, Tulsa, Cincinnati and South Florida—plus a single home contest against SMU (Jan. 8) and a single road date at Tulane (Jan. 14).
 
The Knights' league slate features home dates versus Wichita State (Dec. 28), SMU (Jan. 8), Memphis (Jan. 11), Houston (Jan. 25), Temple (Jan. 28), Tulsa (Feb. 11), Cincinnati (Feb. 19), South Florida (Feb. 22) and East Carolina (Mar. 5).
 
UCF's league schedule includes 10 games on ESPN+, five on ESPNU and three on ESPN2 (both could be flipped to ESPNU).
 
Dawkins' Knights play twice against 2022 NCAA Elite Eight participant Houston and two games versus NCAA second-round participant Memphis. UCF plays one game versus SMU, an NIT entrant in 2022.
 
The UCF non-league schedule (announced Aug. 23) includes home games against instate rivals Florida State (Nov. 11) and Miami (Nov. 27)—plus a trip to the Bahamas to compete in the Baha Mar Hoops Bahamas Championship (Nov. 18-20).
 
The Knights play 17 home games at Addition Financial Arena beginning Nov. 7 versus UNC-Asheville.
 
The 2023 AAC Championships return to Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas. For the third consecutive year, the men's and women's tournaments will be held at the same venue, with the men's championship slated to be held March 9-12.
 
The 2022-23 campaign marks the 10th and last for UCF in the AAC. The Knights are slated to join the Big 12 Conference on July 1, 2023.
