UCF Women’s Golf in Second at Mercedes-Benz Intercollegiate, Piddon Ties Program Record

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Senior Tunrada Piddon picked up where she left off last week, as she fired a 64 (-7) in the second round of the Mercedes-Benz Intercollegiate to tie the program record and headline a great first day for UCF women's golf Monday at Cherokee Country Club.

Piddon had a career day on the course, recording three eagles in addition to nine birdies to card a two-round score of 132 (-10) to lead all players following the first two rounds of competition.

As a team, the Knights are in second place with a score of 555 (275, 280) just two strokes shy of first place.

In addition to Piddon, three other UCF golfers are among the top 21 to tie for the most of any team in the field with four total.

Sophomore Zoe Allaux is tied for 13th after firing a 68 in the first round and a 72 in the second round to compile a score of 141 (-2). She had three birdies in the first round and four in the second.

Freshman Pimpisa "Sandwich" Sisutham is even after two rounds, carding a 68 and 74, to sit 20th in the field of individuals.

Anna Nordfors has recorded a two-round score of 143 (+1) with an opening-round score of 73 before finishing the day with a 70 in the second round. She logged seven birdies and is tied for 21st.

Jess Baker is +3 following the first day of action, finishing three-over in the first round and even in the second round. Camille Banzet is competing in the tournament as an individual and fired an 85 in the opening round and a 77 in the second round.

The Knights return to action on Tuesday morning at 8:45 a.m., as UCF looks to claim its first title in the Mercedes-Benz Intercollegiate.
