HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Personal bests and a new freshman record highlighted the UCF cross country team's strong performance in the North Alabama Showcase on Friday morning at John Hunt Park.
Thirteen Knights finished with a new personal best in the race and they are listed below:

As a team, the Knights finished ninth in a loaded field with more than 40 teams.
Richardson led the way for UCF, finishing 17th and shattering the previous UCF freshman record (17:43.60). Her time of 17:12.38 also ranks as the fourth best in program history.
The New Zealand native continues to impress after she ran a 19:54.80 in the UCF Invite on Sept. 2.
"Very proud of how we raced today," Coach Bryan Jackson said. "Not just with 13 of 14 running lifetime best… but more importantly we race deep and together as a unit. That was the best pack running we have ever had during my time at UCF, which led to the best top-five average in UCF history."
Charlotte Crook also made her season debut in the showcase, finishing with a time of 18:22.09.
UCF will return to action at the Florida Atlantic Invitational in Boca Raton on Friday, Sept. 30 at South County Regional Park.
